Danyel Peters
Founder & Attorney
Danyel Peters is a native of Auburn, Alabama. She grew up in Auburn and graduated from Auburn High School. Danyel completed her undergraduate work at Auburn University with a major in Political Science with a focus in law. She then earned a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus and certification in Election Administration from Auburn University. While at Auburn University she interned with the Lee County District Attorney’s office and served as a Graduate Research Assistant where her research contributed to the publication of Professor Steven Brown’s book, “Alabama Justice: The Cases and Faces that Changed a Nation.” Before starting law school Danyel worked with the Chambers County Development Authority in Chambers County, Alabama. Danyel attended Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate. While in law school Danyel served as the school’s Honor Court Prosecutor, President of the Jones Public Interest Foundation, and Vice President of the Women’s Legal Society. She was a part of the school’s Moot Court competition team and a member of the Board of Advocates. Danyel also served as a law clerk for the Chambers County District Attorney’s office. Upon graduation from law school Danyel was honored as a Distinguished Fellow of the Public Interest Society for her hours of pro-bono work completed during law school. After law school Danyel was admitted to the Alabama bar where she began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Alabama. Danyel then entered private practice as an Associate Attorney in Opelika, Alabama before opening The Peters Law Firm. Danyel has a general practice with an extensive background in criminal defense, juvenile matters, and family law.
Ashley Allen
Law Clerk*
Ashley Allen was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, but is proud to now call Auburn, Alabama home. Ashley graduated from Woodward Academy and then went on to complete her undergraduate work at Auburn University, graduating with a B.S.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in public law and conflict resolution. While at Auburn, she interned with the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC as a Legislative Intern for the Office of Congressman Drew Ferguson and with a startup company in Prague, Czech Republic as a Business Development Intern. After graduating from Auburn, Ashley worked as a consultant designing and implementing complex software projects for various large corporations and earned her SAP S/4 HANA Financial Accounting certification. Ashley then headed back to Washington, DC to attend The George Washington University Law School, where she graduated with honors, earning her Juris Doctorate. During her time at law school, Ashley served as the Senior Notes Editor for the Business and Finance Law Review and as a Dean’s Fellow for first year law students. She also held several positions in the Student Bar Association, including the Director of New Programming and Associate Director of Mentoring. Ashley interned for the United States Small Business Administration and the Administrative Conference of the United States as a legal intern during law school. After law school, Ashley was admitted to the bar for the District of Columbia, where she began her legal career as a real estate attorney for Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. Ashley then moved back to Auburn, Alabama to join The Peters Law Firm. *Ashley is supervised by Danyel Peters pending acceptance by the Alabama State Bar.
